Thondan Review

Cast:            Samuthirakani, Vikranth, Sunaina Music:         Justin Prabhakaran Direction:    Samuthirakani A ironic scene, a person brutally assassinated in front of a Gandhi statue opens the film. This is not the only scene which happens with reference to some leader or Tamil sayings. Either its Thiruvalluvar statue or his saying that is referred. When Samuthirakani is on the director chair, powerful dialogues are expected in a comedy scenes. A scene where Samuthirakani meets a politician, the later question about the former’s caste and he replies with a lengthy dialogue which not only talks about caste politics but drifts to jallikattu protests. Though the dialogue delivery by Samuthirakani is top notch, the dialogue is inappropriate.  The dialogues are sharp and sensible but inappropriate to the film. As the few inappropriate dialogues, a few scenes hinders the progress the film. The colony where Samuthirakani lives forms a group to find the thief of

AANANDAM REVIEW

Cast:         Thomas Mathew, Roshan Mathew, Annu Antony, Vishak Nair, Siddhi Music:       Sachin Warrier Direction: Ganesh raj The movie opens up with a narration introducing the characters. Akshay ( Thomas Mathew) a silent innocent one, Gautham ( Roshan Mathew) a rock star faking himself. Kuppi ( Vaishak) a carefree jovial one, Varun ( Arun Kurian) a disciplined one. It’s not only about four guys with different characterization but a perfect casting that one believes these actors’ real life character is same as the film’s. On the lines of female actors, Devika (Annu Antony) who madly in love with Gautham, Diya ( Siddhi) who is jovial and Darsana who is alone deeply into her drawing book. The film is not about serious romance or a social message of college life or even film with twists and turns. It’s a fun filled about the industrial visit that these college students go on. The scenes where they (the lead actors) are frustrated about IV location is relatable to any

LENS REVIEW

Cast:            Jayaprakash Radhakrishnan, Anandsami, Misha Goshal Direction:    Jayaprakash Radhakrishnan Music:         G V Prakash The film opens up with a skype chat in an adult chat room. Jayaprakash, the lead and director of the film does not waste much time introducing the characters rather takes you into the story. Jayaprakash is clear about the story he wanted to narrate and that’s why this 88 minute film could make a huge impact. When you have a film that talks about adult chat rooms, sex tape leaks the challenge is to show the film without making the audience frown. Kudos to the crew of the film. Jayaprakash and Anandsami are the two pillars who lift the film to new heights. The film is all about conversation of two people in two different room thorough Skype. Their acting, the depth in the narration and a few commendable twists makes the whole conversation interesting and less preachy. The best parts of the film is when Anandsami’s dialogues are captur
