DHURUVANGAL PATHINARU(D-16) REVIEW: Cast : Rahman, Ashwin Kumar Director : Karthik Naren Music: Jakes Bejoy A scene where Rahman asks two guys “ short film title enna?” “Pradhi(Director’s short film)”, replies the guys. Karthik Naren, a 22 year Coimbatore guy learning film making with short films and making his debut venture, Dhuruvangal Pathinaru. D-16 is about a cop (Rahman) solving a murder. In 1994, Pulp fiction, a film by Tarentino was popularly spoken for non linear narration. In 2016, D-16 will set a great example for such non linear narration. The narration does not spoon feed the details, but lets the audience do the thinking. You can find yourself thinking with Rahman during the film. The amount of detailing in the script makes it flawless without any logical loopholes. Rahman’ s acting glorify Karthik’s vision. Every other characters has a very crucial roles in the story and each of them had done their justice. The sounds and background music by Jakes B
