Meyatha maan is Idhyam Murali’s (Vaibhav) one side love
story. This comes as tag line in the title card. Idhyam Murali is madly deeply in love with Madhu (Priya
Bhavani Shankar) for three years but never confessed to her just like the hero
of ‘Idhayam” movie. Hence the name.
Murali calls his friend Vinoth (played by Vivek prasanna)
and tells that he is going to commit suicide. At first Vinoth takes it lightly,
later gets nervous and attempts to stop him. He goes to Madhu’s house and manages
to stop Murali’s attempt. Later Vinoth, Madhu and his friend sit around a
table. You might expect a flash back about how Murali stalked Madhu, but the
director does not do it. Again after sometime, director teases us with a scene
where it could cut to flashback.
The film is more like a continuation to ‘Idhayam’ movie. Vaibhav
is brilliant on screen, especially when he stammers while talking to Madhu.
This film is Vivek Prasanna’s career best and the friendship between him and Murali is
delightful to watch. The film’s best funniest moment is when he proposes and
the interval block which runs for 10 minutes single shot. Comedy is not forced,
so the film is throughout hilarious.
The love between Murali and Madhu is good and the tension
built towards the climax is genuine. A small kid who works in Vinoth’s bike
shop is equally funny compared to Vivek Prasanna. The film goes as musical.
Each song is different and it add flavours to the film. I loved the break up
song that has random lyrics.
Verdict: Hilarious musical.
