BAAHUBALI 2 - The conclusion REVIEW

Cast:            Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati, Satyaraj, Ramya Krishnan, Nasser Music:         M M Keeravani Direction:    S S Rajamouli Baahubali 2- The conclusion is a visual extravaganza revealing ‘Why Kattapa Killed Bahubali?’, which created a huge buzz over the past two years. The state of the art buildings, appealing costumes, visual effects are just enough to watch the film. But Baahubali2 is not just about visual treat, it’s a emotional drama with strong characters . Sivagami (played by Ramya Krishnan) is a commanding woman who maintains justice in the kingdom. None other than Ramya Krishnan could have done this role. It’s unfair to say her performance as a positive, as it could undermine it. Nasser proves it again why he is the best character artist. The cunning face while he persuade Sivagami is a proof to it. Satyaraj (as Kattapa) had a chance for some comedy scenes. As it’s his forte he fairs enough to bring laughter. While expressing emotions, sa

Pa Pandi Review

Cast:            Rajkiran, Revathy, Prasanna, Madonna Sebastian Direction:    Dhanush Music:          Sean Roldan Pa Pandi, the multi-talented Dhanush’s directional debut. Its surprising that Dhanush could write a new  refreshing script. A 60 year old Pandi (popularly called as Power Pandi played by Rajkiran) takes his bike in search of his first love. Pa Pandi is probably the first film where Rajkiran acts in urban based film and this one reason for this film to be refreshing. The film starts with Pandi’s relationship with his son. Though some scenes are staged artificially (Where Pandi does not get a auto despite of standing in a main road) they are able to connect with audience. Pandi is a popular stunt master in film industry and to get rid of boredom in his retired days, he works in a gym. After a certain problem the gym manager scolds Pandi “Satharana cinema fight master thana nee, unaku enna gym training pathi theriyum?” (You are just a ordinary fight master, w

Kaatru Veliyidai Review

Cast: Karthi, Aditi Rao, RJ Balaji Music: A R Rahman Direction: Mani Ratnam Kaatru veliyidai is a love story between a fighter pilot Varun (player by Karthi) and a doctor Leela (played by Aditi). Varun is self-centered while Leela is the opposite. Karthi has a great change over, looking exquisite. His charater has a great acting scope, so do Aditi's character. When it's Mani Ratnam's film, close up shots are mandatory. Their performance in such shots are brilliant. When the story happens in Srinagar, Mani and Ravi Varman takes you a journey through the snow covered place. Ravi Varman's camera has beautifully captured the the love. The scene where the two sit inside the jeep with it's wiper wiping of the snow revealing the two is top notch. Mani ratnam films and mirror scenes have a great romance and its followed in this film too. The aerial shots at wonderful locations are jaw dropping. A R Rahman and Mani Ratnam, a duo that have given mesmer

Kavan Review

KAVAN REVIEW Cast: Vijay Sethupathi, T Rajendar, Madonna Sebastian, Vikranth,  Akashdeep Saighal Music: Hiphop Tamizha Story & Screenplay: K V Anand, Subha, Kabilan Vairamuthu Direction: K V Anand Thilak’s (Vijay Sethupathi)  interest towards documentary filming is shown in the title card followed by he joining a big television channel. While entering the channel, he captures a riot before the channel. When his captured video is telecasted but partially, he questions the editor and the questions are suppressed. The anger inside him fizzes out at some point and what happens is the story of kavan. The movie starts with the channel’s activities to grab audience attention and get a high TRP rating. The truth of the reality shows are well scripted. Though some might seem it boring as it does not foster the story. The love between  Thilan and Malar (Madonna Sebastian) has a less screen space yet well established is because of their on screen chemistry. The cho
