Baahubali 2- The conclusion is a visual extravaganza
revealing ‘Why Kattapa Killed Bahubali?’, which created a huge buzz over the past
two years. The state of the art buildings, appealing costumes, visual effects
are just enough to watch the film. But Baahubali2 is not just about visual
treat, it’s a emotional drama with strong characters . Sivagami (played by Ramya
Krishnan) is a commanding woman who maintains justice in the kingdom. None
other than Ramya Krishnan could have done this role. It’s unfair to say her
performance as a positive, as it could undermine it. Nasser proves it again why
he is the best character artist. The cunning face while he persuade Sivagami is
a proof to it.
Satyaraj (as Kattapa) had a chance for some comedy scenes.
As it’s his forte he fairs enough to bring laughter. While expressing emotions,
sad or happiness, he make the audience emotional. Prabhas will most probably
called as Baahubali after this film. He probably be loved more by the audience
than the people of the kingdom. Devasena, played by Anushka Shetty, is her
career best performance. Either it’s graceful dance or vigorous fight, she
nails it. Rana Daggubati ‘s character and his portrayal of Pallvallthevan
has made everyone love Baahubali more. His portrayal is that heinous and their
rivalry is just awesome.
All these strong characters written by Vijayendra Prasad and
Rajamouli’s gripping screenplay makes this long film interesting. The
screenplay is engaging enough that one forgets about the question and get more
involved in the story. The movie has back to back goose bump moments. The
interval scene will give a orgasm. The intense dialogues just elevates the
emotions.
M M Keeravani’s background score is a reason for hair
raining moments. But the songs are average and are the only portions where the
film is boring. The stunt scenes are jaw dropping except the climax fight. It’s
disappointing when the film has many authentic fight scenes and the main climax
is little hilarious. Anyways that is not a big concern.
Verdict: Not just visual extravaganza. A brilliant emotional
rivalry.
